1. Procedural Support

1. How is this different than a blanket?

• Blankets can come loose and become a suffocation risk
• Blankets can also swaddle too tightly and lead to cold shoulders and hip dysplasia

• Blankets don't allow a baby to move within the swaddle to self-soothe

Woomie Med Pods provide a 360 degree swaddle similar to the womb, but the peanut shape allows range of motion within the confines of the swaddle. Vital signs can be checked through fabric or the double zipper, which decrease hyperstimulation and igniting Moro reflex during wrapping/unwrapping that would be required of a blanket swaddle.
